Blogshops and online stores are huge in the Singapore fashion scene, providing a quick fix of the latest trends and many hours of retail therapy for the desk-bound. However, you never really get to meet the people that make the fashion magic happen.
New collective Chic.Kiss.Love wants to change all of that with an ambitious event called THE FASHION UPRISING.
The event is part-market, part-fashion show, giving you the unusual opportunity to buy what you’ve just seen on the catwalk.
Ten online stores will be showing off their wares with their own pop-up boutiques: Dressabelle, Earl Grey Party, Foggiare, Hollyhoque, Missy Pixie, Momoteapots, The Closet Love, The Design Closet and The Stagewalk. All of this will be brought to life on a huge 650m catwalk winding through the whole of Zouk. And we mean the WHOLE club, all the way from the Wine Bar to The Velvet Underground.
Zouk has been home to many fashion events…and I still remember their crazy fashion show back in 2008 for their 17th birthday:
